Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to lead Controls Monitoring and Testing for Marcus US Deposits within the Asset Wealth Management Division. This role is part of Marcus Deposit's first line of defense Business Controls team, and will manage a team to assess, design and implement controls monitoring and testing for key controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and Execute a Roadmap

Develop and execute a comprehensive roadmap to implement controls monitoring and testing for key controls, ensuring timely and periodic execution as per plan.

Assess Risks and Controls

Assess risks (regulatory and operational) and associated controls to identify relevant control monitoring and testing strategies to proactively assess control failures.

Lead Results Aggregation and Analysis

Lead results aggregation, analysis and reporting to senior stakeholders and risk committees, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.

Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review control testing results and assess root cause, informing process and controls design.

Engage with Second- and Third-Line Functions

Engage with second- and third-line functions as required to inform applicable compliance and audit examination.

Hire, Develop and Retain Talent

Hire, develop and retain talent, ensuring a high-performing team that can effectively execute controls monitoring and testing functions.

Innovate Controls Testing Strategies

Innovate controls testing strategies and tools to ensure efficiency in testing, analysis and reporting, driving business value and risk mitigation.

Collaborate with Internal Stakeholders

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to infuse a culture of risk awareness and regulatory compliance, ensuring alignment with company-wide initiatives.

Contribute to Risk Governance Initiatives

Contribute to Risk Governance initiatives by providing expertise and thought leadership, driving business value and risk mitigation.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Operational Risk, Compliance, Controls or Audit functions in the financial services industry.
  • Expertise in leading, developing and implementing controls monitoring and testing functions.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously and navigate complex organizational structure.
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Bachelor's degree required; an advanced degree or relevant professional certifications would be advantageous.
