Job Title: Homelessness Contracts Coordinator

Job Summary:

The City of Somerville Health and Human Services department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Homelessness Contracts Coordinator to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage contracts with service providers to ensure compliance with city and state procurement procedures.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure maximum contract utilization and provide effective services to persons experiencing homelessness.
  • Provide administrative support to city colleagues in regular meetings about services provided to individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Participate in Request for Response (RFR) evaluation committees and provide technical assistance to contracted vendors as needed.
  • Research and recommend sources of sustainable funding in conjunction with the Director of Prevention Services.
  • Compile and summarize relevant contract data to key stakeholders to identify current trends and troubleshoot obstacles.

Requirements:

  • At least four years of program management, program administration, program coordination, program planning, and/or program analysis experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
  • Familiarity with procurement and contracting services operations and regulatory requirements.
