Revenue Cycle Coordinator Job Description

Cataldo Ambulance Service is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Revenue Cycle Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our revenue cycle processes, including billing, insurance follow-up, and patient communication.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and manage daily mail, including deliveries and ensuring timely delivery to the proper recipient.
  • Assist with and complete additional projects as needed or necessary.
  • Monitor and manage all office inventory, including paper, envelopes, and forms.
  • Process Medical Record Requests.
  • Print and process claims, bills, and other forms on a daily basis.
  • Process specialized contracts on a monthly and bi-weekly basis according to contract specifications.
  • Process and transmit EDI batches daily according to standards.
  • Follow up on EDI batches daily to ensure batches have been accepted and rejected batches/claims are reprocessed same day.
  • Monitor funds on postage machine.
  • Answer incoming calls on a busy multi-lined switchboard and route to the proper person/department.
  • Note and deliver all messages to the proper person.
  • Open/close reception area, ensure it is properly staffed and phones are live during normal operating hours.
  • Ensure reception area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred experience in billing systems such as RescueNet Dispatch Billing and Zirmed/Waystar.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Able to multitask, take charge, and ownership of tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Handle highly confidential information with complete discretion.
  • Possess a positive, professional demeanor at all times.
  • Exceptional computer skills with Microsoft Office, Phone, Fax, and internet.
