Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will provide essential clinical and administrative support to our physicians and patients, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, assisting with examinations, and preparing patients for procedures.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient flow and optimal care delivery.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Language Skills:Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in Spanish or other languages is a valuable asset.
Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:Active Medical Assistant certification must be maintained throughout your employment.
Physical Demands:- This position requires extended periods of walking, standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and pushing.
- You must possess close and distance vision and hearing acuity to perform essential duties. Be prepared for heavy lifting, typically exceeding 25 pounds.
- The clinical environment involves exposure to chemicals, pathogens, and patient body fluids. You will work under potentially stressful conditions and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
MedNorth Health Center provides a comprehensive healthcare setting within a multicultural medical/dental clinic. The building is climate-controlled with moderate to loud noise levels. We serve a diverse patient population who may require interpreter assistance. You may be exposed to copier toner, correction fluid, bright fluorescent lighting, and prolonged computer use.
This position falls under Bloodborne Pathogens risk category III.
