About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at NHRMC Physician Specialists. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of physicians and nurses, assisting with various tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist physicians and nurses with patient care tasks, including collecting and communicating patient information.
  • Perform a variety of patient care tasks, such as scheduling appointments and processing specimens.
  • Communicate with patients before and after visits, and process prescription refill requests.
  • Work with providers and nursing staff to review test results and communicate recommendations for follow-up care.
  • Participate in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and inventory management.
  • Perform moderate or waived point-of-care testing per CLIA guidelines.
  • Accurately document patient care activities in the medical record.
  • Organize and perform work effectively and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-year clinical experience in an outpatient or physician office setting preferred.
