About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Coastal Family Medicine. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care under the supervision of our physicians and nurses.

Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and nurses in the provision of patient care, including collecting and communicating patient information.
  • Perform a variety of patient care tasks, such as scheduling appointments, processing specimens, and communicating with patients.
  • Work with providers and nursing staff to review test results, communicate recommendations for follow-up, and track patient compliance.
  • Participate in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and inventory management by maintaining clinical space and organizing, stocking, and cleaning examination rooms, equipment, and supply cabinets.
  • Perform moderate or waived point-of-care testing per CLIA guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) is required.
  • Associate degree or diploma in Medical Assisting from an accredited program is required.
  • One year of clinical experience in an outpatient or physician office setting is preferred.
