Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Operations Nurse Practitioner to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients being evaluated for and undergoing Burn Medical and Surgical Care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Comprehensive Patient Care: The Clinical Operations Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care to patients, including obtaining patient history, participating in daily patient care, and developing treatment plans for discharge.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Team: The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery team, including surgeons, fellows, residents, and other pertinent professionals, to develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Provide Education and Support: The Clinical Operations Nurse Practitioner will provide education to patients and family members regarding diagnosis, complications, treatment, and medications, as well as assist with inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Manage Patient Records: The successful candidate will be responsible for completing all necessary documentation and billing information as appropriate and meet compliance guidelines.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing: The Clinical Operations Nurse Practitioner must have a Master's Degree in Nursing and be licensed as a Registered Nurse and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Experience in Burn Care: While experience in adult burn care is helpful, qualified applicants will be taught in the clinical environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The successful candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
