Job Summary:

EASTCONN is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Intervention Specialist to join our team. As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality services to families and young children with developmental delays or disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with families and caregivers to build strong relationships and ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the Code of Ethics as described by ASHA, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
  • Conduct standardized evaluations and assessments across developmental domains, including speech and language needs, to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Participate in the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs), monitoring outcomes and providing early intervention supports to families to promote the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Supervise Developmental Therapy Associates as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest quality services.
  • Provide special instruction and coaching to families in their natural environment, empowering them to support their child's development and well-being.
  • Act as a service coordinator, ensuring seamless service delivery and coordination with other agencies and providers.
  • Complete visits in natural settings, including homes, communities, childcare centers, and preschools, to provide services that are tailored to the unique needs of each family.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in a relevant field, such as Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Current CT Department of Health License, demonstrating expertise and competence in the field of early intervention.
