About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Origination Specialist to join our team at Leidos, Inc. in a Mortgage Origination role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to lending industry professionals and the public, answering inquiries and resolving issues related to FHA mortgage policies and procedures.
  • Utilize knowledge of the mortgage industry to locate answers in a knowledge database and provide accurate information to clients.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for various topics, systems, and contact channels.
  • Document all interactions in a database and maintain accurate records.
  • Stay up-to-date on FHA mortgage processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of mortgage origination experience, including loan originator, loan processor, junior underwriter, or loan officer roles.
  • Minimum of 1 year of contact center experience or telephone customer service experience.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, which includes a credit check and background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) verbal and written skills.
  • Strong FHA knowledge and background.
  • Contact Center experience (Omnichannel).
