About the Role

Noblis is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team as a Submarine AC&R Systems Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing engineering, technical, and logistics support to the U.S. Navy and other government agencies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, evaluate, and plan mechanical equipment and systems for commercial, government, and military applications.
  • Develop and implement solutions to complex engineering problems, including the design and testing of prototypes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of mechanical systems into larger projects.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Conduct obsolescence evaluations and identify replacement solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 10 years of experience in Steam and Auxiliary systems, including mechanical/electrical system design, repair, installation, modification, operation, maintenance, and testing.
  • Active DoD security clearance at SECRET level or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with equipment design principles, 2D/3D engineering design & manufacturing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor), and documentation development.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with detailed specifications under configuration management.
  • Experience interfacing directly with US military technical representatives.
  • Experience working with equipment suppliers and vendors.
  • Shipboard experience as an operator/maintainer is a plus.
