About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our heavy mobile equipment and stationary equipment.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting safety throughout the operation and ensuring compliance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
  • Repairing and maintaining mobile equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and performing small services to maximize performance and limit downtime.
  • Inspecting equipment and material to identify and schedule services based on company and manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Documenting and recording information accurately and efficiently.
  • Handling and moving objects safely and efficiently.
  • Performing general physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment.
  • Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment.
  • Working ability to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
  • Mechanical skills and knowledge of industrial tools and their uses.
