Job Title: Heavy Equipment Mechanic

At Vulcan Materials Company, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our heavy equipment fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Document and record all maintenance activities, including service reports and equipment inspections.
  • Handle and move objects safely, and perform physical activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working on diesel or heavy construction equipment is preferred.
  • Knowledge of general principles and practices of servicing heavy construction equipment is preferred.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
  • Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
  • Must have some knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.
