Position Overview

The Senior Culinary Event Manager is responsible for overseeing food preparation for various events. This role supports the Executive Chef by executing assigned projects and may temporarily take on the Chef's responsibilities in their absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage food production for events, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  2. Adhere to established recipes and guidelines to maintain consistency and safety in food preparation.
  3. Safely operate kitchen equipment and comply with all food handling protocols.
  4. Implement sanitation and nutrition practices in line with industry standards.
  5. Monitor portion sizes and quality standards, following departmental policies and procedures.
  6. Supervise and assist kitchen staff in all aspects of food production.
  7. Perform additional tasks as requested by the Chef or General Manager.

Education and Experience:

Possess a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and local health department standards. A degree in Culinary Arts or a minimum of three years of relevant experience is preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and time management.
  • Able to interact effectively with various management levels.
  • Proficient in PC applications, including Outlook, Esysco, and MS Excel.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance in clean company uniforms.
  • Commitment to adhering to all company and safety policies.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position, with schedules subject to change based on departmental needs.

Travel Requirements:

Local travel may be necessary as required.

Physical Demands:

This role involves light physical work, including prolonged periods of walking and standing, as well as the occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
