About the Role

Sterling Crane LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Vice President, Business Development. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth within the crane businesses of Marmon Crane Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic marketing plan to drive growth of the crane sector, including both organic and inorganic sources of revenue.
  • Manage a portfolio of customers and identify opportunities to grow and improve profitability.
  • Oversee major bid reviews, ensuring financial metrics are met or exceeded and contract terms and conditions align with company objectives.
  • Drive the Voice of Customer process to inform business decisions.
  • Analyze opportunities for geographic and vertical market expansion.
  • Collaborate with business unit leadership and corporate resources to deliver analysis of acquisition targets.
  • Develop and manage the capabilities of a global team of business development professionals.
  • Manage sales forecasting and develop business development inputs for the sector budget.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
  • Extensive commercial leadership experience in the crane, construction, or related industries.
  • Experience working with large industrial customers in key vertical markets, including oil and gas, petrochemicals, mining, power generation, and industrial/infrastructure.
  • Merger and acquisition experience with deals up to $100 million USD.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% throughout North America, Australia, and occasionally Europe/Asia.
