About the Role

Envision Unlimited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team in the Chicagoland South Suburban area. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving their maximum level of functioning and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living skills, such as personal grooming and hygiene
  • Transport and accompany residents to appointments and activities
  • Monitor and assist residents with medication administration
  • Plan and prepare meals, taking into account special dietary needs
  • Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties, including laundry and linen management
  • Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies, utilizing Safety Care training and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
  • Ability to pass a background check and Safety Care training
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferred
