Job Summary

Envision Unlimited is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team in the Chicagoland South Suburban area. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving their maximum level of functioning and independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and provide training to residents in daily living and social skills
  • Assist residents with personal grooming and appearance as necessary
  • Transport and accompany residents to appointments and other services
  • Supervise and assist residents in taking their medication
  • Assist residents in preparation of daily schedules and perform household chores
  • Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies
  • Plan menus and assist with meal preparation
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Reliable transportation
  • DSP experience preferred
  • Drivers License required
Work Environment

The work environment is typically low to moderate noise level. The role may involve working alone or with others, verbal contact with others, and face-to-face contact.
