Job Title: Direct Support Professional

Redwood Family Care Network is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities to live fulfilling lives.

Job Summary:

The Direct Support Professional will provide person-centered support to individuals with developmental disabilities, promoting their health, safety, and well-being. This includes assisting with daily living tasks, providing emotional support, and advocating for their needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement daily routines for clients, ensuring their needs are met and goals are achieved.
  • Support clients in their daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Provide emotional support and advocacy for clients, promoting their independence and autonomy.
  • Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized plans, ensuring clients receive the best possible care.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in caregiving or a related field.
  • Direct Support Professional Certificate (Year 1 & Year 2) and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred.
  • First Aid/CPR certification preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid California Driver's License.
