About the Role

Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled SWG Commissioning Engineer to join our team. As a global leader in the energy management and automation industry, we are dedicated to creating connected technologies that revolutionize industries and enhance lives.

In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the successful commissioning of our Switchgear (SWG) products. You will collaborate with customers, team members, and third-party partners to perform assembly, startup, diagnostic, repair, and preventive maintenance on both Company and third-party manufactured equipment in a variety of dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform commissioning activities on SWG products, including assembly, startup, and diagnostic testing
  • Collaborate with customers, sales partners, and technical support to resolve commissioning-related issues
  • Complete field service reports, expense reports, and other documentation as required
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and training to ensure expertise in commissioning and maintenance
  • Work closely with the Prefab Commissioning Team to ensure seamless commissioning processes
Requirements
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, electrical theory, or a related field
  • 2+ years of field service repair and customer service experience with UPS, electrical, electro-mechanical, or electronics-related equipment
  • Strong understanding of principles of AC and DC power, various AC and DC supply circuit components
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and theory of operation manuals
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
