Field Service Technician

EnerSys is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical and application support for EnerSys products and services in the assigned area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical and application support for EnerSys products and services in the assigned area.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000.
- Operate material handling equipment per OSHA requirements.
- Maintain company assets such as service vehicles, inventory, tools, laptops, and test equipment.
- Complete and submit reports as required.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving, and in the field, material audits to identify shortages.
- Support the installation of DC Power plants, BDFB's, inverters, UPS, and DC Battery systems.
- Support Commissioning of DC power plants, inverters, and battery conductance readings, testing of system and equipment alarms.
- Perform/support rectifier and inverter module swaps, and updating system inventories.
- Perform/support Preventative Maintenance routines, which would include completing reports and data analysis, which would identify key areas where the clients could improve their systems or are at risk based on the data collected.
- Install data cabinets, cable tray infrastructure, including load bearing axillary systems, Fiber Optic Raceways, Grounding and alarm connections.
- Provide support for maintaining calibration of tools.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Travel when required to perform installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- 2-4 years of previous customer service experience in field support.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
- Able to operate a cell phone.
- Basic mechanical aptitude.
- Previous experience working with hand and power tools.
- Able to read with comprehension and write documents (such as customer correspondences, memos, and reports) in English.
- Able to perform basic math such as add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- A basic electrical understanding.
- The use of test equipment and reading schematics.
- Technical degree in Engineering where/if applicable to the location.
