About the Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team at Simon Pearce. As a Quality Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our glass and pottery products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect and grade glass and pottery products to determine compliance with specifications and quality control standards
  • Communicate quality issues with QC and Production Managers
  • Stamp Simon Pearce insignia on first-quality glass items
  • Complete all necessary paper and computer work for inventory control
  • Perform lamp assembly
  • Wash glass
  • Apply UPC labels to all products
  • Pack finished goods
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
