Job Description

**Job Summary**

GE Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled Building Maintenance Supervisor to join our Facilities team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining buildings and systems supporting site infrastructure, managing the work of hourly employees and contracted services, and making business-critical decisions in a timely manner.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Direct the activities of an hourly team within the Facilities Organization
  • Achieve highest safety levels in the Company
  • Develop, coordinate, lead and execute daily production plans
  • Coordinate consistent and effective workorder transition
  • Achieve highest levels of internal and external customer service
  • Develop and implement process controls
  • Support Operations Manager in the strategic planning of manpower, equipment and other resources
  • Mentor and motivate team in safety, quality and productivity improvements
  • Coordinate resources to achieve goals with a timely and cost-effective strategy
  • Identify, develop and execute a deck of projects to improve existing process quality and lower cost

**Collaboration and Communication**

  • Work with Projects and Engineering Teams to develop and execute plans to drive step-change advancements in completing Operations Workorders
  • Interface with the Customer for improvement of product quality and to ensure corrective feedback to quality issues
  • Initiate and project manage capital equipment projects that support Facilities Operations, cost, and cycle improvements

**Requirements**

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business, supply chain, or similar technical field with a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in construction, operations, or maintenance
  • OR Associate Degree in a technical, construction or engineering field with minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical and electrical construction fields, including proven ability to scope, estimate and oversee the construction of projects
  • OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 10 years of prior experience in construction, operations, or maintenance
  • Experience communicating effectively, both oral and written, among an hourly workforce in a supply chain or similar environment
  • Familiarity with operating in a unionized environment and adhering to a collective bargaining agreement
  • Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, with a sense of urgency, to meet deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to handle emergencies outside of normal working hours
  • Ability to build and influence strong networks internally and externally, and work in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • Prior experience leading teams and projects
  • High computer literacy - ability to use Microsoft Office to analyze data for decisioning
  • Ability to drive innovation, execute plans and to think creatively
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast-paced work environment
  • Lean Six Sigma background and certification

  • Base pay range: $77,300 - $128,800 USD Annually
