Event Sales Manager

Davidson Hospitality Group is seeking a highly skilled Event Sales Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales and catering team, you will be responsible for driving revenue by booking and managing events, from weddings to corporate conferences.

The primary focus of this role is to sell Banquet Food and Beverage, with additional responsibilities including menu planning, agenda setting, and hotel meeting services. You will also review contracts and facilitate communication before, during, and post-event with hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.

The ideal candidate will be a natural communicator with a proven track record of sales success and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will contribute to site inspections, maintain strong customer relationships, and work as a team member with the sales and catering staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue by booking and managing events
  • Sell Banquet Food and Beverage
  • Menu planning and agenda setting
  • Hotel meeting services
  • Review contracts and facilitate communication
  • Contribute to site inspections and maintain customer relationships

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field
  • 2+ years of hotel sales experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of event planning and logistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • 1 year food and beverage experience
  • Confident and professional appearance
  • Proactive sales approach, assertive and fast-paced, driven to succeed
  • Understanding of market segment, competitor's strengths, weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with desired outcome for each
