Job Title: Assistant Vice President Hydrogeologist

Position Overview:

The Assistant Vice President Hydrogeologist will be responsible for spearheading comprehensive environmental assessments and providing expert guidance in geological and hydrogeological investigations. This role involves the development of strategic action plans aimed at pollution control and hazardous waste management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead environmental site evaluations, including Phase I and II assessments.
  • Deliver technical expertise in geological and hydrogeological studies.
  • Formulate action plans for the management of pollution and hazardous materials.
  • Supervise cross-disciplinary teams throughout project implementation.
  • Engage in the preparation of environmental permit applications and corrective action strategies.
  • Oversee project management and maintain communication with regulatory agencies.
  • Draft proposals and foster client relationships.
  • Classify contaminated soil and advise on disposal methods.
  • Provide strategic insights to clients regarding environmental risks.
  • Build a client portfolio for environmental risk assessment services.
  • Mentor junior staff to promote professional growth.
  • Collaborate with experts to develop innovative solutions for future challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Geosciences, or a related discipline.
  • Over 10 years of professional experience as a Geologist.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities.
  • Proficient in site investigations, characterization, and sampling techniques.
  • Experience with Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.
  • Background in remediation, water resources, or mining sectors.
  • Familiarity with federal and state regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in assessing vapor intrusion risks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous project experience in the Pacific Northwest region.
  • Master's Degree in environmental science, hydrogeology, or a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ArcGIS.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Knowledge of environmental statistics and site closure methodologies.

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings options.

Expected Salary: $115,400 - $175,300

WSP USA provides a competitive compensation structure based on the qualifications of the successful candidate.
