About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused professional to join our Institutional Annuities (IA) Client Services & Operations Team in Jersey City. As a Client Service Representative, you will play a critical role in supporting the administration of several IA businesses, with a focus on activities related to participant pension payments and records retention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize reports to analyze, approve, and release daily disbursements of participant level pension payments
  • Review and report variances on month end write-off reports
  • Research and take appropriate action on un-cashed and returned checks
  • Update participant records upon notification of death, determine next steps, and, if applicable, handle overpayment recovery
  • Review, scan, and index client and contract related documents
  • Deposit contributions and reimbursements
  • Handle inbound calls and periodically make outbound calls to clients and financial institutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills, including Word and Excel, with the ability to navigate multiple applications
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to work independently while remaining flexible to meet team goals
  • Ability to follow established procedures and stay current with internal control procedures
