Job Summary

Bond Brothers is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will provide technical support to our project managers and superintendents to ensure the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Assist in tracking project information, including shop drawings, submittals, requests for information, subcontracts, and change order requests.
  • Field Operations Support: Provide daily reporting, monitor self-perform and subcontractor activities, and track quantities.
  • Document Management: Maintain a current set of progress prints and post all drawing changes to the record documents on a weekly basis.
  • Material Management: Track material deliveries to the site.
  • Document Distribution: Manage, process, and distribute project documents, including contract documents, shop drawings, submittals, and coordination drawings.
  • Quality Control: Analyze and check the quality and coordination of project documents.
  • Submittal Management: Analyze and verify that submittals are in compliance with the contract documents.
  • QA/QC Program: Assist in implementing the QA/QC program.
  • Buyout Analysis: Support the project manager in analyzing and tracking buyout.
  • Safety Administration: Assist in administering safety requirements.
  • Document Turnover: Track and record all documents required from subcontractors to be turned over to the owner at project completion.
  • Communication: Communicate with architects and engineers about project-related items.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read drawings and specifications, review shop drawings, and understand the approval and tracking process between subcontractors and engineers.
  • Soft Skills: Detail-oriented, organized, flexible, and able to effectively multitask while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Time Management: Excellent time management and prioritization skills to ensure deadlines are met while providing accurate deliverables.
  • Software Skills: Robust knowledge of document control software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
