Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Workers' Compensation Payor Specialist to join our team at Three Crosses Regional Hospital. As a key member of our medical office, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless communication and coordination with patients, providers, and insurance companies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Intake and Coordination: Gather necessary patient information, schedule appointments, and complete intake documentation.
  • Insurance and Case Management: Verify coverage, coordinate with insurance companies and case managers, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Medical Record Management: Review and update patient charts, coordinate location of IME, second opinions, and impairment ratings.
  • Communication and Customer Service: Answer incoming calls, respond to emails and faxes, and provide exceptional customer service to patients and providers.
  • Confidentiality and Compliance: Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and organizational confidentiality requirements.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year of experience in a customer service and medical office setting environment in an administrative/secretarial, appointment scheduling position.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the Division of Workers' Compensation (DWC) rules and regulations, Medical Assistant or related field.
