Marine Construction Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW
This role is integral to our Project Management Team, overseeing various jobsite locations across the West Coast.
Engineers in this position deliver onsite engineering and technical assistance, ensuring quality control, aiding in construction management, conducting land surveys, and fostering a safe working environment.
Experience in dredging or marine construction is advantageous. Extensive travel is a requirement.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting hydrographic and beach/land surveys for construction management purposes.
- Providing technical support for equipment computer systems.
- Developing project work element plans and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs).
- Coordinating project definable features of work with superintendents, foremen, craft workers, and subcontractors.
- Managing critical path scheduling and preparing three-week look-ahead schedules.
- Reviewing designs, drawings, and engineering data from consultants and vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications and identifying potential conflicts.
- Conducting investigations and research for necessary permanent and consumable materials, equipment, and tools.- Inspecting newly delivered materials for adherence to project requirements.
- Coordinating project activities with client representatives and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring production and overseeing operations of Manson and its subcontractors.
- Reporting on daily operations and quality control.
- Maintaining photographic records of the project.
- Providing general project support.
- Upholding Manson's Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct.
- Promoting a safe work environment and adhering to Incident and Injury Free (IIF) standards as a condition of employment.
SUPERVISORY ROLE
May supervise engineering interns directly.
QUALIFICATIONS

A Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management from an accredited institution is required.
Experience in the Marine Construction or Dredging Industry is preferred.CERTIFICATIONS
A valid Driver's License and a satisfactory driving record are required. Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) is preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required; experience with scheduling, estimating, and project management software such as HCSS & Primavera is preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be exposed to adverse weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can range from moderate to loud.
Employees must be able to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) for various construction environments (hard hats, personal flotation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc.).
Employees are required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools, and reach with hands and arms. They must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
