Job Overview

Position: Full-time Marine Field Technician

Company Overview: Archetype Permanent Solutions is dedicated to providing exceptional service in the marine and power generation sectors. Compensation: $30.00 to $41.00 per hour (additional $1.50 per hour for field assignments)

Travel Requirements: Up to 50% travel may be necessary.

Sign-on Incentive: $5000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of engine performance
  • Execute repairs and complete overhauls as required
  • Assess engine performance and implement necessary adjustments
  • Manage costs effectively through warranty assessments and parts evaluation
  • Maintain detailed and accurate service documentation
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment
  • Engage professionally with clients on-site
  • Perform commissioning trials for MTU engines

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in using electrical multi-meters
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with large marine diesel engines
  • Strong background in diesel engine electronic control systems and computer proficiency
  • Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
  • Possession of a valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with MTU engines and Diasys software is advantageous
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening
