Project Finance Specialist

Catalyst Clinical Research, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Project Finance Specialist to play a key role in ensuring the financial health of projects through timely and accurate reporting of revenue and costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project leads to understand and report current project status to leadership, ensuring seamless communication and transparency.
  • Identify and analyze issues related to contract amendments, values, or deliverables, providing expert financial insights to inform business decisions.
  • Analyze operational project data to report on financial metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, providing actionable insights to drive business growth.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly invoices and financial reporting packages to clients and internal leadership, ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
  • Perform account reconciliations for relevant project finance GL accounts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Conduct regular profitability and cash flow analyses on assigned projects, providing expert financial guidance to inform business decisions.
  • Work with project leads to forecast contractor spend, ensuring accurate financial planning and budgeting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with a strong foundation in financial principles and practices.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in operational/project finance, with a proven track record of success in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Background in Clinical Research, specifically in Oncology, is preferred, with a strong understanding of the industry and its financial complexities.
  • Experience in invoicing, collections, and project analysis, with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience in revenue and cost recognition, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Experience in project accounting, with a strong ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
Desired Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong ability to work with financial data and software.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, with a strong ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data.
  • Ability to organize and present data in a meaningful way, with a strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex financial problems.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow, with a strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a strong ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements.
