Overview: The Guest Services Supervisor plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our guests at DoubleTree by Hilton Rochester. This position involves assisting the Guest Services Manager in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors, from their arrival to their departure, while optimizing room occupancy and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide attentive and courteous service to guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly.
  • Assist in managing the front desk operations, including overseeing the check-in and check-out processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of room reservations and monitor special requests for VIP guests.
  • Ensure all messages, packages, and mail are logged and delivered efficiently.
  • Foster a positive team environment by promoting effective communication and collaboration among staff.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in the hospitality industry is essential.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred, along with relevant coursework in hospitality management.
  • A valid driver’s license is necessary for this role.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making, with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to grooming standards.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures to promote safe operations.
  • Monitor and manage the front desk computer systems to maintain accurate information.
  • Assist in training new staff and ensuring adherence to service standards.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
