Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at The Office Tavern Grill. As a Cook, you will play a key role in preparing high-quality dishes for our guests, following established recipes and maintaining food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, portion sizes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Follow recipes and guidelines to ensure consistent food quality, taste, and appearance.
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food storage, handling, and temperature maintenance.
  • Set up and organize workstations with all necessary ingredients, utensils, and cooking equipment.
  • Utilize various cooking methods, such as grilling, frying, sautéing, baking, and broiling, to prepare dishes to order.
  • Inspect food products for quality, freshness, and taste to maintain high culinary standards.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served promptly and simultaneously.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including proper cleaning of cooking equipment and utensils.
  • Stay informed about menu items, daily specials, and any allergen information to assist guests with menu choices.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff, including chefs, sous chefs, and fellow cooks, to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Communicate effectively with Team Members and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and efficient order preparation.
Requirements
  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or culinary setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, including knife skills, food preparation, and cooking methods.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Positive attitude, teamwork mentality, and a willingness to assist fellow kitchen staff.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Standing and working in a fast-paced kitchen environment for extended periods.
  • Lifting and carrying heavy pots, pans, and trays.
  • Bending, stooping, and reaching.
