Job Overview

The Lead Accounting Executive is responsible for organizing and overseeing all facets of daily accounting operations within the hotel, ensuring that team members are informed of any issues and opportunities regarding operational procedures.

Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Finance (DOF) to coordinate all on-site accounting functions. Serve as the primary contact for all internal and corporate accounting inquiries in the absence of the DOF.

Financial Reconciliation: Partner with the DOF to finalize all general ledger, bank, treasury, and credit card reconciliations.

Month-End Processes: Assist in the preparation of balance sheet analyses and reconciliations, month-end closing journal entries, and profit and loss reconciliations.

Reporting: Conduct daily IJ reporting and reviews, as well as daily labor reports. Collaborate with managers to analyze daily IJ and labor reports.

Financial Performance: Fully comprehend both reports and effectively communicate the daily financial performance of the property to senior leadership.

Intercompany Transactions: Process monthly shared labor and other intercompany invoices.

Forecasting: Prepare and distribute monthly IBuy forecasts for accurate checkbook reporting and coordinate monthly reviews with department heads.

Accounts Receivable Management: Utilize all available resources, in conjunction with the DOF, to enhance accounts receivable turnover, accelerate collection periods, and minimize outstanding balances.

System Proficiency: Understand and be capable of performing daily tasks in Workday, Ramp, and IBuy financial systems.
