About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Riverence Holdings LLC as an Aquaculture Technician in Training Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our fish populations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the daily operation of our aquaculture facilities, including feeding, mortality removal, and screen scrubbing.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of our facility, including sections, pond numbers, and rearing areas.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and procedures.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve our mission of raising the standards of aquaculture and providing sustainable seafood.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems, including sweeping raceways, cleaning and repairing graders, and other tasks as required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Aquaculture experience or related degree preferred.
  • Ability to speak, read, understand, and follow directions with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Driver's license and good driving record required with reliable transportation to and from the work site.
Working Environment

This role operates in an outdoor environment, and you will be required to work in various weather conditions. You will also be required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that involve heavy work exerting force frequently and constantly to move objects.

Physical Demands
  • Often requires walking or moving to accomplish tasks.
  • Often requires standing or sitting for sustained periods of time.
  • Occasionally requires stooping and reaching.
  • Occasionally requires pushing using upper extremities to press against something with steady force.
  • Occasionally requires pulling using upper extremities to exert force in order to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Lifting is required on an occasional basis.
  • Repetitive motions are required which involve substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Often requires feeling of products perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
  • Hearing must be adequate to perform duties and interact in person clearly and efficiently.
  • Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment or instrumentation use.
  • Requires clear vision, the ability to identify and distinguish color, and to adjust focus.
