Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Senior General Ledger Accountant to oversee the complete cycle of the General Ledger process for designated divisions within the organization. This role will involve close collaboration with the Shared Services team and various departments, including Executive, Legal, Finance, Compliance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Senior Management/Operations. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring precise financial reporting, managing invoice payment processes, facilitating certain general ledger closing activities, addressing both external and internal customer inquiries, and driving operational improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Shared Services team to guarantee accurate financial reporting, including the correct coding of payroll and benefits for all US entities.
  • Prepare monthly schedules for interim and year-end external audits.
  • Engage extensively with Intercompany for balance reconciliation and related matters.
  • Oversee the close process, including the importation of financial data from Navision/D365 to Hyperion Financial Data Management (HFM) and account validation.
  • Ensure accurate payroll and benefit coding across all US entities.
  • Compile bi-weekly cash reports for Corporate and Optoelectronics.
  • Review monthly bank reconciliations for Corporate, Optoelectronics, and Lenview entities, taking full responsibility for all accounting activities related to Lenview.
  • Conduct SOX testing and assist both external and internal auditors with audit requests.
  • Lead the implementation and training for the new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
  • Prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Analyze fixed asset general ledger accounts and depreciation expenditures on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Prepare quarterly balance sheet schedules for management review.
  • Execute special projects as assigned.

  • Report any quality issues or defects to management to facilitate corrective actions and prevent recurrence.
  • Responsibilities may be adjusted or assigned as necessary to meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • B.S. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Receivable.
  • Proficiency in financial software applications, particularly Microsoft D365 and Navision.
  • Strong decision-making, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage daily responsibilities with minimal supervision.
