Staff Geologist Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Staff Geologist to join our consulting firm in the Sacramento area. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with project managers on a variety of environmental projects, including environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, and remedial designs.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform tasks and project assignments associated with environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, subsurface investigations, and monitoring projects;
  • Conduct field work, including soil and groundwater sample collection and sample preparation for laboratory analysis;
  • Prepare project deliverables, including soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, potentiometric surface maps, geologic cross sections, site sample and plume maps, work plans, and reports;
  • Collaborate with project management and field staff;
  • Manage laboratory and hydrogeologic data;
  • Oversee permit management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, or a science-related field;
  • 0-3 years of environmental geology experience;
  • OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred);
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Detail-oriented and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
