Join Our Team as a Geologist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Geologist to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As a Geologist, you will play a key role in supporting our environmental projects, including field investigations, data analysis, and report preparation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support a wide range of environmental projects, including contaminated site assessments and remediation activities.
  • Conduct fieldwork, such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling, and contractor oversight.
  • Coordinate and implement field projects, oversee drilling, monitoring, sampling, and treatment system operations.
  • Analyze chemical data and evaluate contaminant fate and transport.
  • Evaluate groundwater and soil remedy options, estimate costs, and implement remediation plans.
  • Provide environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting support.
  • Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Interface with project internal and external personnel, including clients, subcontractors, and regulators.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a related field.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • Geologist in Training (GIT) certification or on track to obtain GIT.
  • At least 2 years of professional services consulting experience, including environmental field investigation, construction monitoring, and Phase I/II environmental assessments.
  • Prior internship experience in consulting preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong interest in contaminant remediation and/or quantitative hydrogeology.
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers.
  • Ability to multi-task and take directions with willingness to support multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Regular field work and overnight travel required.
