Staff Geologist, Environmental Consulting
About Apex Envirotech, Inc.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Geologist to join our team in the Sacramento area. As a Staff Geologist, you will work closely with project managers on a variety of environmental projects, including environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, and remedial designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental assessments, hydrogeological studies, and subsurface investigations to identify potential environmental hazards.
- Collect and analyze soil and groundwater samples to determine contaminant levels and migration patterns.
- Prepare project deliverables, including soil boring logs, well construction diagrams, and geologic cross sections.
- Collaborate with project management and field staff to ensure project success.
- Manage laboratory and hydrogeologic data to inform project decisions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in geology, engineering, or a science-related field.
- 0-3 years of environmental geology experience.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (preferred).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
