Cemetery Operations Coordinator

Reports To: Cemetery Manager
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00 pm
Position Overview: The Cemetery Associate I (CA I) plays a vital role in providing essential support services, including front desk reception, administrative tasks, and assisting families during their time of need. The CA I will be the primary point of contact for clients and families, ensuring a seamless experience while managing office operations alongside other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage phone communications, internal correspondence, and appointment scheduling.
- Provide courteous assistance to families visiting the office.
- Deliver comprehensive administrative support, including daily financial transactions, work orders, and document organization.
- Guide families in purchasing relevant merchandise for graves, crypts, or niches.
- Assist visitors with inquiries regarding burial sites.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of interment details.
- Maintain customer records in accounting software (Plotbox), including data entry for contracts.
- Apply cemetery policies effectively to assist families and colleagues.
- Support the memorial application process as needed.
- Address family concerns regarding cemetery policies.
- Provide daily interment lists to other cemetery locations.
- Prepare ownership documentation as required.
- Assist with audit processes and inventory management.
- Support trust processing as necessary.
- Maintain a tidy workspace and contribute to the upkeep of shared areas.
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure personal and public safety.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive information obtained during service.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy.
- Embrace a solution-oriented approach in all interactions and promote teamwork aligned with the organization's Mission and Vision.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate's degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years in an office setting with a focus on customer service and administrative support.
Licenses and Credentials:
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid driver's license.
- Current vehicle insurance.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Exceptional customer service abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications.
- Detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
