COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this role ranges from $21.00 to $21.57, influenced by various factors including the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, prior experience, market data, and other pertinent considerations. Additional earnings may include bonuses or commissions where applicable. This represents Aramark's good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position at the time of posting.

If selected, the employee will be in an "at-will position," and Aramark reserves the right to adjust base salary and any other discretionary payment or compensation program at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, individual performance, team performance, and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities


• The essential functions and responsibilities of this position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes following production guidelines and standardized recipes.

• Organize the workstation with all necessary ingredients and equipment.

• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.

• Safely utilize various utensils, including knives.

• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.

• Employ various cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming on meats, vegetables, and other food items.

• Present, garnish, and portion food according to established standards.

• Store food properly by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and utensils.

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.

• Follow Aramark safety policies and procedures, ensuring accurate food safety and sanitation practices.

• Safeguard company assets.

Qualifications


• Experience as a cook or in a similar role is required.

• Proven knowledge of fundamental food preparation principles, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations, including accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage.

• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.

• Demonstrate basic math and counting abilities.

• Exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

This role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. This position may also require uniforms and/or the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
