Job Overview


The Food Service Supervisor is tasked with overseeing and delegating duties within the culinary operation, which includes managing inventory, ensuring customer satisfaction, food preparation, and adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.

Responsibilities and essential functions may differ based on specific client needs and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizes and assigns daily tasks to the food service team while monitoring task completion.
  • Educates and supports staff on their roles, food safety standards, and customer service excellence.
  • Prepares and assembles food items following established recipes and guidelines.
  • Ensures proper food storage in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Sets up work areas including preparation stations, service counters, and heating equipment.
  • Disassembles, cleans, and sanitizes work areas after service.
  • Serves food to patrons, ensuring their satisfaction and proactively addressing their needs.
  • Restocks food items to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Follows all alcohol service regulations and verifies patrons' identification.
  • Maintains a high standard of customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, clients, and colleagues.
  • Exhibits a friendly, efficient demeanor, adapting to customer requirements.
  • Complies with safety protocols and sanitation practices.
  • Safeguards company assets and resources.

Qualifications

  • Prior supervisory experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience in food service is required.
  • Must be able to achieve food safety certification.
  • Demonstrates exceptional guest service skills.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and inventory management is necessary.
  • Open to change, new processes, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to build relationships with guests and team members.
  • Proven organizational skills to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changes in service demands.
  • Consistently displays professionalism in daily tasks.
  • Must work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exhibits outstanding guest service abilities.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays is preferred.


This position may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing.

Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
