Job Overview


Aramark is actively looking for a Regional Safety Coordinator to oversee our Sports & Entertainment operations within the Kansas City area.

The Regional Safety Coordinator will spearhead initiatives aimed at a comprehensive and strategic methodology to aid the organization in executing safety and risk management programs, processes, and protocols to safeguard individuals, property, the environment, and company resources.

This position will serve as a vital resource for addressing operational requirements concerning occupational safety, food safety and sanitation, environmental compliance, employee training, and the implementation of all Aramark safety protocols.

Training and mentoring of location management teams and personnel is a primary responsibility of this role.

This position may necessitate occasional travel to other accounts across the United States and Canada to support operations or large-scale events.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach, train, and guide Operations Management and hourly personnel to effectively implement Aramark, state, and federal safety standards and regulations.
• Ensure that the location has up-to-date Aramark safety standards and procedural documentation in place.
• Collaborate closely with Aramark Safety & Risk Control, Aramark District Manager, General Managers, and Clients to review, implement, and uphold Aramark's SAFE Commitment.
• Organize and support District Safety Meetings and Committee Structures.
• Maintain productive relationships with local and regional compliance and regulatory bodies.
• Accompany Public Health Department/Regulatory Inspectors during on-site evaluations.
• Address regulatory non-compliance issues and mitigate potential future inspection violations.
• Effectively manage internal and external corrective action processes to meet regulatory requirements, identify root causes, address issues, restore control, evaluate and monitor processes, modify procedures, enhance overall safety systems, and prevent recurrences.
• Support various special events, ensuring the highest levels of Guest Service and Quality Control.
Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in safety & health, business administration, or public health preferred,

or

equivalent work experience required.
• 2+ years of experience in food and/or occupational safety required.
• Previous experience in occupational, food, and/or culinary settings in a high-volume venue or health/regulatory department preferred.
• Prior leadership and training experience required.
• Strong communication, organizational, coaching/mentoring, and negotiation skills required.
• Certified ServSafe Trainer preferred or ability to obtain training certification within the first 6 months of employment.
• Flexibility to work in a dynamic environment and a matrix-style reporting structure.

Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Requires the ability to stand for extended periods and engage in extensive walking throughout large venues for the duration of scheduled events.
• Requires availability to work event-based hours, including evenings, weekends, and potentially holidays.
• Requires the ability to travel regularly to support our Sports & Entertainment account locations within the Kansas City area. May involve additional travel to Aramark account locations throughout the U.S. and Canada as needed.
