The Wealth Management Senior Fiduciary Relationship Advisor role oversees intricate wealth management client relationships and delivers high-quality fiduciary services.

The partner assumes primary responsibility for overall client satisfaction as the relationship manager by collaborating with the service team and appropriate NT resources to ensure timely delivery of high-quality fiduciary service, issue resolution, effective communication of client needs to partners, and coordination with the client's professional advisors to identify and implement advisory solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversees a designated portfolio of wealth management clients by collaborating with the client service team, clients, and their professional advisors to gain a comprehensive understanding of the client's needs and objectives.
  2. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of governing documents and account agreements.
  3. Possesses extensive knowledge of fiduciary responsibilities and relevant laws, including trust and tax law, estate planning techniques, financial planning, asset management, and prudent investment principles.
  4. Actively seeks to enhance fiduciary and advisory skills through ongoing training and practical experience.
  5. Primarily responsible for leading client discussions regarding life-driven wealth management. Provides proactive advice to clients on NT's products/services, emerging issues, regulatory/tax changes, and appropriate actions for the client.
  6. Combines technical expertise with thorough analysis to develop advice-driven solutions for clients, explaining complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
  7. Maintains a working knowledge of various NT resources and utilizes fiduciary knowledge, experience, and NT resources to identify opportunities for relationship enhancement.
  8. Delivers focused client service with responsiveness, diplomacy, and tact; maintains proactive client contact through appropriate written and verbal communication.
  9. Builds and maintains knowledge of NT fiduciary standards and practices, applying fiduciary knowledge and judgment to fiduciary relationships.
  10. Recognizes fiduciary risk issues and seeks appropriate resolution.
  11. Fosters relationships with referral sources and external professional advisors to expand the business; identifies and develops new business opportunities.
  12. Participates in community and professional organizations representing NT, identifying opportunities to showcase NT expertise and thought leadership.
  13. Travels to meet with clients as necessary, considering revenue, new business opportunities, or servicing requirements.
  14. Mentors and guides less experienced partners, providing leadership on fiduciary projects and committees.
  15. Collaborates with internal partners and external professional advisors to identify client needs and goals, developing advice-driven solutions.
  16. Demonstrates extensive technical and/or business knowledge and functional expertise.
  17. Focuses on executing the strategic direction of business function activities.
  18. Manages complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues.
  19. Exhibits a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of fiduciary and financial products and services, typically acquired through relevant work experience, is essential for managing client accounts.

Technical expertise in investments, tax, legal, and operations, usually obtained through formal education or related experience, is necessary for servicing clients.

Familiarity with fiduciary standards, principles, and applicable laws and regulations, typically acquired through training, seminars, or law school, is required for account administration.

Skills in negotiation, problem-solving, delegation, leadership, and sales are crucial for maintaining the client relationship.

Leadership and organizational skills are necessary to define the Business Unit's goals, identify required resources, and assess and develop staff skills.

Experience:

7-10 years of experience as a relationship manager in trust administration, estate administration, estate planning, or related fields is preferred.
