ABOUT THE ROLE
The Food and Beverage Operations Manager oversees the daily functions of food and beverage services at our venue, ensuring exceptional hospitality and quality offerings in areas such as Concessions, Bar, and Catering for all guests.


Key Responsibilities:


1. **Supervision and Quality Control:**
Lead and participate in the preparation and presentation of food and beverage items, ensuring consistent quality that meets established standards.

2. **Staff Management:**
Schedule, train, and supervise team members at various events, assigning tasks, evaluating performance, and addressing any issues that arise.

3. **Safety and Sanitation:**
Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment that complies with all regulations, ensuring staff uniforms are clean and presentable.

4. **Inventory Management:**
Conduct monthly inventory checks, order supplies for events, and monitor food and labor costs daily.

5. **Financial Oversight:**
Manage cash handling for assigned outlets, ensuring accurate accounting and secure storage of funds.

6. **Strategic Planning:**
Develop strategies to maximize profitability for events, fostering a well-rounded management team through cross-training.

7. **Operational Readiness:**
Open and close assigned areas punctually, ensuring they are fully stocked and cleaned before and after events.

8. **Equipment Maintenance:**
Ensure all food service stands and equipment are well-maintained and operational.

9. **Menu Development:**
Assist in planning and introducing new menu items in the assigned areas.

10. **Technical Support:**
Troubleshoot point of sale systems and other technology used in food service.

11. **Recruitment and Retention:**
Develop programs for employee recruitment and retention, collaborating with management to interview and hire new staff.

12. **Budget Adherence:**
Support budgetary compliance and long-term planning for assigned areas.

13. **Event Management:**
Serve as manager on duty during major events, ensuring smooth operations.


Concessions:
Coordinate with non-profit volunteer groups for events, providing training and assigning responsibilities.
Act as the primary contact for concession vendors and merchandise representatives.

Bar Services:
Ensure staff are trained in responsible alcohol service, adhering to all legal requirements.
Oversee alcohol service at events in collaboration with the management team.
Serve as the liaison for alcohol distributors.

Catering Services:
Manage the execution of catered events, ensuring all equipment and supplies are in good condition.
Coordinate with Event Services as the main contact for catering clients.

QUALIFICATIONS
We invite candidates who meet the following criteria to consider this opportunity:

Education and Experience:
A minimum of an Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution, along with two or more years of relevant experience in food service management, catering, or beverage operations; or five or more years of related experience.
Preferred experience includes roles such as Concession Manager, Catering Manager, Restaurant or Bar Manager, Sous Chef, or Assistant Sous Chef.

Certifications:
Must obtain Serve Safe Certification within 120 days of hire.
