We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at Dakota Dunes Country Club. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the food and beverage department, ensuring that all guests receive exceptional service and quality food.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the budget for the food and beverage department, ensuring all administrative, record keeping, and reporting requirements are timely and accurately met.
- Hire, train, manage, and develop food and beverage department staff, including assistant managers, chefs, bartenders, beverage cart attendants, kitchen, and wait staff.
- Comply with purchasing agreements and vendor contracts, maintaining food and bar inventory, and ordering to meet customer demands and budget expectations.
- Market and manage event planning for the club, working with members to secure agreements and coordinating activities associated with non-golf events.
- Develop and implement standards and procedures for the food and beverage department to comply with health, alcohol, tobacco, and fire regulations.
- Ensure food and beverage facilities and equipment are maintained and in proper repair.
- Ensure food and beverage employees are compliant with health code standards and follow applicable liquor laws, responsible for training and licensing as required.
- May be required to serve members and guests during club functions, meeting or exceeding service expectations.
- May be required to direct or complete the set-up and/or take down of course events and process necessary reports.
- Implement Company human resource and payroll guidelines and procedures, gathering, processing, and submitting payroll information for the food and beverage department.
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround time, and work cooperatively to provide quality customer service.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the work and success of the club and the Company, maintaining confidentiality of Company, employee, and member/guest information.
- Attend and actively participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings.
- Working knowledge in Food and Beverage operations, specifically in financial controls, staff management, and facilities and equipment management.
- Ability to provide high-level customer service with attention to detail, plan and coordinate events that provide quality experiences to members/guests.
- Understanding of safe food handling procedures and responsible alcohol service, able to direct and maintain a safe and secure environment and operation.
- Demonstrate a sense of ownership in the work and a commitment to the success of the club and the Company.
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High Diploma or GED required, College degree preferred.
- 1 – 3 years' previous management experience in food and beverage operations or related experience.
- Certified Food Protection Manager (ServSafe Manager Certification).
- Seeing and hearing: read documents, computer screen, answer phones, communicate in person 75-100%.
- Standing and walking 50-75%.
- Lift 0 – 25 Pounds 50-75%.
- Climbing, stooping, squatting, and kneeling 0-24%.
- Dexterity: utilizing phone, typing, and writing 0-50%.
- Lift in excess of 25 pounds 0-24%.
