Position Overview:
As a Clinical Medical Assistant, you will deliver essential clinical support to patients within the physician practice, operating under the guidance of the physician. Your role will ensure continuity and quality of care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Operate or learn to use various medical equipment, including Pulse Oximeters, Ear Syringes, Cryosurgery Instruments, EKG machines, Nebulizers, and Portable Oxygen tanks.
  2. Demonstrate proficiency with Electronic Health Records.
  3. Perform phlebotomy as required.
  4. Utilize basic laboratory equipment to conduct tests and document results accurately.
  5. Secure prior authorization for medications, tests, and procedures.
  6. Stay informed about the current vaccine schedule as designated by the CDC.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory - documentation must be provided within 30 days of employment.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant is required.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Previous experience in an obstetrics/gynecology office or clinic is preferred.
