Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to patients under the supervision of the physician, ensuring continuity and appropriate care.
- Operate and maintain various medical equipment, including pulse oximeters, ear syringes, and EKG machines.
- Proficiently use Electronic Health Records to document patient information and update records.
- Perform phlebotomy and operate basic lab equipment, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Obtain prior authorization for medications, testing, and procedures, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
- Stay up-to-date on current vaccine schedules and provide age-appropriate care to patients.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; proof of education must be provided within 30 days of hire.
- Medical Assistant certification is mandatory; current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification is also required within 30 days of hire.
- Prior experience in an ob/gyn office or clinic is preferred.
