The position collaborates closely with Merchants to guarantee the effective implementation of comprehensive product strategies and serves as a vital analytical and strategic resource in achieving the objectives of the product category.

This role will systematically evaluate product categories, deliver analytical assistance, and propose actionable insights for enhancing sales and

profit margins. Acting as the primary liaison, this position will engage with various cross-functional support teams.

In the realm of Merchandising, this role will be the main contact for suppliers, stores, and all internal support networks, providing valuable input based on category expertise.

This position will facilitate the onboarding process for new suppliers/vendors and ensure the precision of cost and inventory data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the planning, preparation, and execution of essential business initiatives in collaboration with the Merchant/Online Merchant; including the development and organization of product insights, performance metrics, and presentations (e.g., Vendor Forum, Shark Tank, RVP Walks, Product Line Reviews).
  • Proactively assess and analyze category performance for both in-store and online platforms, offering recommendations to enhance product profitability and optimization.
  • Generate and present reports based on data, metrics, and analyses to provide insights on product or category performance as requested by the merchant.
  • Assist the Merchant in Product Line Reviews by compiling financial objectives and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful execution.
  • Provide insights and recommendations regarding inventory by analyzing and identifying opportunities to enhance the inventory health of the business.
  • Support the Merchant in vendor negotiations and contribute to ongoing negotiation processes.
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships, acting as a point of contact for merchants, vendors, stores, online operations, and all internal support teams.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on new item setup and maintenance, assisting with new vendor onboarding.
  • Ensure the integrity and accuracy of product data within Lowe's designated software systems, confirming that all product costs, vendor agreements, and inventory information are precise.
  • Conduct content reviews to verify that new assortments, planograms, item descriptions, and product specifications are accurate for both in-store and online environments; partnering with relevant support teams to uphold protocols and standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve vendor or product issues raised by stakeholders (e.g., online purchase orders, Executive Customer Support inquiries, or in-store product concerns).
  • Ensure that promotional activities for the category are accurate and align with the established strategy and timelines.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all Lowe's policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and compliance requirements for assigned product areas.
Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or merchandising.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Analytics, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
