Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School STEM Teacher to join our educational community. This role focuses on teaching Math and Science to middle school students, fostering a stimulating and engaging learning environment.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, with a range from $67,000 to $89,898. Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruction and Preparation: Tailor instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, creating opportunities for independent learning and engagement.
  • Relationship Building: Foster a safe and supportive learning environment, encouraging student voice and choice while managing classroom dynamics effectively.
  • Family and Community Engagement: Build positive relationships with families, providing regular communication and inviting their participation in the educational process.
  • Professional Responsibilities: Engage in reflective practice, participate in professional development, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • New York State Certification for the appropriate grades and subject area.
  • Minimum of two years of successful experience as a middle school teacher.
  • Experience in a high-performing urban school setting is preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching through continuous learning and data analysis.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Commitment to single-sex education.
  • Conversational or fluent Spanish is a plus.
  • A strong work ethic and a sense of humor.
