Job Description

We are seeking a driven Business Development Director to join our team. As a key member of our sales function, you will be responsible for identifying and seizing opportunities to bring in new clients and revenue, forging partnerships, and expanding our company's reach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategies to sell in existing and new markets and acquire new clients.
  • Identify, evaluate, and execute new business opportunities aligned with company's overall strategy.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and analyze market data to spot opportunities on how Pivot can help companies.
  • Negotiate and close deals, managing the initial SOW/MSA through procurement to purchase and partnering with our internal team along the way – eventually transitioning the client to our internal practice leads.
Requirements
  • You are a natural connector, with a strong and constantly growing network.
  • You're good, really good at driving relationship-based sales and market growth, with a proven track record of success in new business development – particularly within professional services.
  • You're a self-starter who will passionately pitch Pivot Strategies and build strong relationships with clients - understanding their unique needs and collaborating with our awesome team to craft solutions tailored to the client.
  • You have at least 7-10 years of experience in business development, working on big accounts in small to mid-sized companies. A bachelor's degree is preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • You have outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • You are passionate about your work and equally passionate about being part of the Pivot team and contributing to the agency's growth.
  • You are comfortable in an agile environment and can adapt to anything - change is constant in consulting.

Location

This position is remote, but candidates must live in the Twin Cities. This position may be on-site to meet with potential clients or occasionally in the Pivot office. Some travel may be required. Pivot is a flexible workplace; however, our flexibility is dependent on our client and business needs.
