Position Overview

The Coordinator of Undergraduate Experiential Programs will play a pivotal role in the organization and execution of initiatives that enhance Babson's undergraduate educational framework. This position involves engaging with students, collaborating with faculty and campus stakeholders, overseeing student leaders, contributing to program development and execution, providing essential support services, and acting as the primary liaison for various experiential learning initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the operational functions of designated core courses, which may encompass: managing communications, coordinating schedules for student consultations, training student leaders, preparing materials for the commencement of classes, maintaining resources in the course management system, liaising with faculty teams, addressing operational challenges, processing financial documentation, assisting with events and simulations, overseeing administrative tasks, and conveying program updates and expectations to relevant parties including faculty, students, and staff.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise student mentors for the Foundations of Entrepreneurship and Management (FME) course.
  • Manage the communication channels for experiential learning, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and escalating issues to the Program Manager when necessary.
  • Facilitate the application of behavioral assessment tools within the FME framework.
  • Establish and oversee a scheduling system for student appointments throughout the academic year.
  • Organize and coordinate events related to experiential learning initiatives.
  • Assist in maintaining regular office hours for student-led businesses.
  • Develop and update resource materials for students and their ventures.
  • Ensure adherence to budgetary constraints under the guidance of the Program Manager.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required.

Your team will include student staff members.

Qualifications and Skills

Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: A minimum of 1-3 years in a business or educational setting.

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to engage sensitively with a diverse range of students, staff, and faculty.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, learning management systems, and scheduling tools.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to propose new methods that support Entrepreneurial Thought & Action (ET&A).
  • Adaptability to change and willingness to acquire new skills.

Work Environment

This position requires some early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends. The role is primarily onsite, with a hybrid work schedule allowing for one remote day per week and additional flexibility based on program needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Business coursework is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience with learning management systems and databases is desirable.
